Grant County ‘History Hop America 250’

Join the fun with family and friends as you explore Grant County History through the following links below. Details may also be found at the Grant County History Museum, The Mitchell-Rountree Stone Cottage, and local Chamber offices.

Instructions:

  1. Visit each monument, marker, or historic place while learning about each location by clicking on the URl or QR code below.
  2. Snap a ‘selfie’ at the monument or marker to identify your visit.  Please be respectful at the location and in your photo.
  3. Create a digital or physical book of your History Hop and submit it to the Grant County Historical Museum staff.  A sample of each will be at the Grant County History Museum after June 22, 2026
  4. Prizes will be awarded for creativity with your book through your adventures on this travelogue.  We encourage you to visit as many as possible. *Please note that a few locations do have an entry fee.  ($) You are encouraged to tour but it is not required for this activity.
  5. Participation dates:  July 4, 2026-September 30, 2026
