The Grant County Historical Society is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit. We operate three history sites which offers the public a rich experience in local history. Our two museum sites are the Grant County History Museum in Lancaster and the 1837 Mitchell-Rountree Stone Cottage in Platteville. We also operate the Grant County Research Center in conjunction with The Grant County Genealogical Society in Lancaster.

You can become a member by clicking the “Donate” button below and giving an amount corresponding to one of the membership levels. Online donations are processed by PayPal and accept major Credit Cards.
Members are also welcome to join us at our monthly board meeting. These meetings are held every third Tuesday of the month (January – December) at 1:00 at our History Museum location (135 E Maple St).
